I’ve made this classic Linzer Tart cookie recipe for as long as I can remember, even before it won my 7th grade bake off many moons ago! The small cutout in the top layer of this cookie sandwich is a signature mark of these 3″ scrumptious treats. The cream cheese based dough creates a crunchy yet soft melt-in-your-mouth treat with subtle tones of ground almonds and lemon zest and just the right amount of powdered sugar dusting on top and seedless red raspberry preserves between the cookie sandwich layers for a true flavor adventure.
